I thought i was an idiot

Well i can't seem to get the print screen to show up here because the school computers are dumb....
My IQ was 111. Here are the ranges i fall under.
According to Stanford-Binet scale, IQ is classified as following:

  • 110 - 119 - Superior intelligence

  • Apart from the Stanford Binet-Scale, another scale popularly used is the Wechsler scale. Here, IQ is classified as:

  • 110 - 119 - High average

  • Besides, these two scales which use a standard deviation of 15, another scale in popular use is the Cattell's scale which uses a standard deviation of 24. According to Cattell's scale, IQ is classified as:

  • 100 - 119 - Average

  • I dont think this test is very accurate because there was the option; "I dont know" and I'm not sure if the omission of those questions reflects what people really know. Plus i heard a lot of people behind me in the computer lab saying "OMG WOW I GOT A 150 HAHAHAIM SMARTER THAN YOUUU" when i turned around... i thought, "this test is not right.....(because im sure that kid wasn't smarter than me and the girl next to me)" And working with a computer just made me sleepy looking at the screen, and I just noticed that my screen is orented higher than everyone next to me so i have to go a father distance with my eyes from the screen to the desk when i work out math problems for the IQ test...and that makes me dizzy....

    The Mozart Effect:  http://www.indiana.edu/~intell/mozarteffect2.shtml

Reasearch and testing have found that there is a trend in the music of Mozart and temporarily improving intelligence. By listening to Mozart's Symphonies for 10 min, IQs increasteed 8-9 points but this only lasted for 10-15 min. The music serves as a "warm up" for the cerebral cortex and allows for faster processing of information. "Mozart Effect critics have claimed the spatial intelligence increase to be nothing more than a shift in participants' arousal, which then produces better spatial test scores." Nothing other than classical music has been used to test whether intelligence and the stimulation of music has a definate correlation. One flaw in the mozart effect is that one test, such as math or just paper cutting, is not sufficient in testing whether the theory is actually valid.

    1. Interesting post Erin. That was a pretty good IQ. I didn't like the questions either and I guess its easy to get an inaccurate result. is there anyone who didn't do mozart effect or birth order and intelligence? Anyways, yea I thought the mozart effect was very interesting because mozart music can temporarily boost someone's intelligence. Good post. 10/10

    2. Well, very nice IQ. And you actually did the Mozart effect. Most people did the birth order article. It's good to read a different idea. That's very nice. You did go into details for the IQ test. So I'll give you 10 out of 10. But try to say a little more about the Mozart effect. EX: How do you think about the effect or if you can apply it to things in your life. I think it'll make the story even cooler.

    3. Great IQ score! I agree with you that this test is probably not very valid. I found the Mozart effect very intresting and fascinating. Overall great post.10/10

    4. Mozart effect was cool, I thought it was pretty interesting to read about since I've always liked reading about how IQs change and how different correlations produce different results.

also, nice IQ, you're a genius

      10/10

    5. Haha I agree with you completely with those hobos behind me saying crap. I totally didn't know about the Mozart Effect. Hmm... maybe I will start doing that.
