Your score

Number of puzzles solved: 5/10
Puzzles you had wrong: 3,6,7,8,9

I dont think this test was very valid because my IQ went up 10-20 points according to this

all the optical illusions i looked at were impossile wall, impossible shelf, impossible E, impossible stairs....EVERYTHING IS IMPOSSIBRU
Im not too sure why all of these puzzle things were so hard for me to understand. a lot of them hurt my eyes after a while.

Luminosity:
I have an account because i play these games on my ipod and i dont think im getting much better at processing information. haha that game where you have to pick if the shape on the card matches the previous is sooooooooooo hard and confusing. It makes my brain feel like it's all jumbled up and after a while i just gave up because it made my eyes all wonky D:

lost in migration 94% accuracy
raindrops overall accuracy 88%

article:
i agree with the article about handwriting because i notice that when i write things down, i remember them better. so when i go to college i will write notes rather than type most likely. :)

Tis the End

Well it's going to be interresting next semester without having Psych 2nd period...or actually, not even having Mrs. Halfen is going to be weird.

What I liked about the class:
The information that we learned was quite interresting. The sleep unit, even though ironically i fell asleep for a couple of minutes, inspired me optimize my sleeping pattern. I must achieve more REM sleep. Learning about disorders was pretty interresting too because my mother wasa special ed teacher for fortbend for a while and i never knew that she knew all of that information too! yay for bonding.

Favorite Activity:
My favorite activity by far was the motivational video project. It was really fun to make. The goggles that abstruct vision was pretty fun too except it made me want to throw up D: I dont think my brain readjusts very well D: Sybil was a fantastic movie. I really enjoyed that.

What you didn't like about the class:
Underclassmen....who are loud when we're watching videos and the fact that our class was pretty much like a brick wall...
But about the class itself, i dont like how it's only one semester :( err... at least i dont like how it's 1st semester. well idk. D:

What should you leave out next year:
Well honestly i did not enjoy watching Solitary because all of the contestants were annying and so was Val. Maybe you could show the good episodes like the first couple before the people start acting stupid.
What you should do for next year:
Well we never did the super taster lab thingy. That would have been fun.

I really dont have anything negative to say about this class. I thoroughly enjoyed the class.

Robson

This week's blog post for my topic of choice will be Robson...my  ukulele.

Senior year is not at all like i heard it would be. The idea of senior year being stress free and having all day to play IS COMPLETELY FALSE.  I started to get really frustrated because of all the deadlines approaching...college apps, numerous video projects, independent studies... it's all one big sigh really.

It took a few weeks before i completely exploded in tears because of all the stress. Instead of moping around, i decided to redirect my frustration (sublimation) into something more constructive. I decided to pick up  new instrument. So i picked up playing the ukulele (which i named Robson, hence the blog name). within a few hours, i was pretty fluent in playing, if you will.

I'm glad that i found a new hobby that I enjoy. If i hadn't done anything about the stress, i would have blamed the teachers for not grading fairly or something. i don't know... im just glad i chose to play the ukulele because the sound makes me so happy :)

I thought i was an idiot

Well i can't seem to get the print screen to show up here because the school computers are dumb....
My IQ was 111. Here are the ranges i fall under.
According to Stanford-Binet scale, IQ is classified as following:

  • 110 - 119 - Superior intelligence

  • Apart from the Stanford Binet-Scale, another scale popularly used is the Wechsler scale. Here, IQ is classified as:

  • 110 - 119 - High average

  • Besides, these two scales which use a standard deviation of 15, another scale in popular use is the Cattell's scale which uses a standard deviation of 24. According to Cattell's scale, IQ is classified as:

  • 100 - 119 - Average

  • I dont think this test is very accurate because there was the option; "I dont know" and I'm not sure if the omission of those questions reflects what people really know. Plus i heard a lot of people behind me in the computer lab saying "OMG WOW I GOT A 150 HAHAHAIM SMARTER THAN YOUUU" when i turned around... i thought, "this test is not right.....(because im sure that kid wasn't smarter than me and the girl next to me)" And working with a computer just made me sleepy looking at the screen, and I just noticed that my screen is orented higher than everyone next to me so i have to go a father distance with my eyes from the screen to the desk when i work out math problems for the IQ test...and that makes me dizzy....

    The Mozart Effect:  http://www.indiana.edu/~intell/mozarteffect2.shtml

Reasearch and testing have found that there is a trend in the music of Mozart and temporarily improving intelligence. By listening to Mozart's Symphonies for 10 min, IQs increasteed 8-9 points but this only lasted for 10-15 min. The music serves as a "warm up" for the cerebral cortex and allows for faster processing of information. "Mozart Effect critics have claimed the spatial intelligence increase to be nothing more than a shift in participants' arousal, which then produces better spatial test scores." Nothing other than classical music has been used to test whether intelligence and the stimulation of music has a definate correlation. One flaw in the mozart effect is that one test, such as math or just paper cutting, is not sufficient in testing whether the theory is actually valid.

    Week dos

     JUNG TYPOLOGY TEST
      Introvert: 23
      Intuitive: 12
      Feeling: 12
      Perception: 33
    • slightly expressed introvert
    • slightly expressed intuitive personality
    • slightly expressed feeling personality
    • moderately expressed judging personality
    REACTION:
This test was pretty spot on. I like to keep to myself a lot and I tend to be quite blunt when i comment on things. Whenever something is troubling me, i keep it to myself and i try not to cry. ._. yeah so i think this test iis pretty accurate.

    HARRY POTTER HOUSE QUIZ
The sorting hat says that I belong in Hufflepuff!

Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot, and treat them just the same."
Hufflepuff students are friendly, fair-minded, modest, and hard-working. A well-known member was Cedric Diggory, who represented Hogwarts in the most recent Triwizard Tournament.

    REACTION:
I don't know if these results are reliable.... Well.... I am pretty fair-minded and hard-working most of the time... so maybe i am a Hufflepuff. I thought i was always a Slitherine. Maybe i'm nicer that i think?

    Necker Cube Experiment

    Results

The cube flipped 8 times in 30 seconds.
The results of the personality test show you are an introvert
The personality test you took measured your position on a scale ranging from extravert to introvert.
    • Extraverts tend to be more sociable and enjoy going to parties.
    • Introverts tend to like spending time by themselves.
    REACTION:
This test is pretty spot on. I like to keep to myself. The part where the test taker has to press the space bar every time the    Necker Cube changed was actually pretty cool.

Implicit Association Test: Black and White Race
This test states that i have an unconscious preference for European Americans than African Americans...

    REACTION:
The test made takers put pictures of white and black people into categories (European Americans and African Americans) and different words into categories (good and bad) then they switch up the categories (left or right side) and that's when you start to make mistakes. I don't feel like this test can determine if a person is racist because being racism does not imply that racists are inferior to black people only. And I don't believe that i am racist... or at least i try not to be ._.

    Your Score: 35

"You have slightly above average EQ - with room to grow! You are likely sensitive to the emotional climate of the people around you - your peers, friends, family and key clients. You are well aware of the effect your behavior has on others. Still, while you may be adept at tuning into others and their needs - you must remember your own! Don't be afraid to honestly communicate these difficult needs and feelings. "

    REACTION:
honestly i don't think i took this test correctly. the scale was too general for me. plus... i dont have a job and i was too lazy to answer the OPTIONAL short answer :) i dont think this test is very valid because most of us taking it dont have jobs. Plus, i dont even know what EQ stands for

    My Life Story

December born, born to live, living life.
Up until now, I have written my life story to the fullest, but not really... i dont know. heh...

A sister, a daughter, a doodler, a skater... a critic, a traveler, a mucisian, an unsuspecting trouble maker.

My memories begin at the age of three. I vaguely remember what i did at the time, but my day consisted much of tea parties and running around the house while making weird noises. I remember the goal of my parents to expose me to worldly experiences. Every year I celebrated many holidays. Birthdays, New years, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, and even Winnie the Pooh's birthday. As you can imagine, there was much cake.
I started my education at the Sugar Creek Montessori School. I remember crying everyday when my dad left me with that mean girl, Allison (?). Everyday i would sit in class by myself and color. Would not talk to anyone. I was almost put in an ESL class, but i knew English... i just chose not to flaunt it.  There is a very vivid memory from my short enrollment in that school. Two girls dressed in nice Sunday dresses asked me to be the third person on the tire swing. I didn't know what that was so i agreed. It was their mistake for not telling me that there were chances of me throwing up all over them. Anyways....
Through out Elementry and Middle School, I made more friends...(so sad right? lawlz) and I traveled the world. France, UK, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Thailand, Canada. These years are pretty much all mixed up in my mind.

My past three years of high school sums up to one word. Derp. There's really not much to it. Freshman and sophomore year were indistinguishable. Junior year was a nightmare, and senior year makes you realize how annoying you were in freshman through junior year.

After High school, I want to attend Texas University at Austin or Trinity University Or American University for communications/ mass media/ advertising. My dream job would be working for an advertising firm with clients such as Coca-Cola or Lego or even working for Google.
Then i plan to get married and have kids maybe (contemplation...) and the whole cliche story that every little girl dreams about. When im old i want to own a small pastry store because food makes me happy and i want to die a happy old person. The End

What's my dream? It may not be learning how to play the organ or being able to quote Friends... My dream is to see the world.
